The Boxer has become one of the best loved and most popular breeds. Not only in its homeland, Germany, but in many other areas of the world. And for good reason, in addition to cutting a striking image with its well-muscled physique, classic chiseled head and smooth, glossy coat, the Boxer is extremely versatile.
The Boxer is just as comfortable playing endless games of catch (or catch me) with the kids in the backyard, as it is striking a pose in the
show ring or flying through suspended tires in agility competitions. Many Boxers have what it takes to be Schutzhund dogs-tracking, obedience and protection work-----and many are used today in drug detection, search and rescue and police work.
But above all, the Boxer is a loyal and loving companion that truly lives to please its owner.
